Job Title: Vice President of Software Products and Services

The Vice President of Software Products and Services will lead
the Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Security teams as
Dulcian continues to develop its SaaS-based, health product and serve its
consulting clients. This role has direct line reporting to the President.
Specific duties include:
- Complete oversight to ensure on-time,
on-budget delivery of our software offerings to our customers. Through
collaborating with other members of the development and the executive
teams, product requirements and functionality will turn into technical
designs, product releases, and efficient, high quality software. This will
be accomplished by clearly defined product roadmaps and requirements, and
technology solutions, and alternatives needed to fulfill the product
vision, while exceeding customer expectations, including planning product
release cycles and release dates, forecasting development and resources,
- As a member of Dulcian’s executive
management team, engage in company culture, product development, talent
acquisition, employee retention, setting practices and principles,
budget/expense management, business development, contract negotiation,
sales and marketing activities.
- Partner with the President to provide
input and implement the product, and software architecture, and
proactively seek, analyze, and adopt new, effective, and cost-efficient technologies,
processes, and methodologies. In addition, determine and develop
performance criteria, and measures necessary to analyze appropriate
performance, and quality metrics to reinforce company goals.
- Advise on current best practices in
software development, and global market expectations, to help it develop
an international client base.
- Balance competing priorities and
deadlines in the roles of a software engineer, business coach,
collaborator and business developer.
- Remote employment is permissible for
this position. Several trips per year to our headquarters in New Jersey
will be required in such instances of remote employment.
- Will oversee a team of approximately
seven professionals in the roles of a database administrator, several
software developers and testers, and an administrative professional.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
or a related field of study.
In addition, must have five years of post-Bachelor’s, progressive
related experience that included the following:
Experience managing software engineering teams, successfully delegating
responsibilities and deliverables and allocating resources with the goal of
delivering a software product that is on-spec, on-time, and on-budget.
Marketing, business development, contract negotiations and sales of
software services to a global client base.
Experience with Oracle Database and building applications with “Thick
Database Development” tools, such as Formspider, which was used to build all of
Dulcian’s software products and services.
